1. Who can use Cornvio

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Users under 18 may only use the platform with the permission and supervision of a parent or guardian.
You must provide accurate information when registering, including your real first and last name.
You may only hold one account. Duplicate accounts may be removed.

2. Platform disclaimer

Cornvio acts only as a platform connecting local users in Cornwall. We do not inspect, verify, own, guarantee, or take responsibility for any listed items. All transactions, exchanges, and arrangements are made directly between users at their own risk.

3. Listing rules

When you post a listing, you confirm that:

You own the item you are listing or have the right to give it away.
The item is accurately described — photographs and descriptions must not be misleading.
You will honour arrangements you agree to with other users.
You will not post duplicate or spam listings.
You will mark items as taken once they have been collected.

4. Prohibited items

The following items are strictly prohibited on Cornvio:

block Weapons (including knives, firearms, and replicas)

block Illegal goods of any kind

block Counterfeit or fake items

block Stolen property

block Alcohol

block Tobacco or nicotine products (including vapes)

block Prescription or controlled medication

block Adult or explicit content

block Live animals

block Hazardous or dangerous materials

block Recalled or unsafe products

block Items subject to trade sanctions

Listings that violate these rules will be removed without notice, and accounts may be suspended or permanently banned.

5. Community guidelines

All users are expected to:

Treat other users with respect at all times.
Not engage in harassment, threats, discrimination, or abuse of any kind.
Not post spam, unsolicited promotions, or irrelevant content.
Not attempt to scam, deceive, or defraud other users.
Not share personal contact details publicly in listings.
Keep communication within the platform until collection details are agreed.
Report listings, users, or behaviour that violates these guidelines.

6. Reporting

You can report any of the following to our moderation team using the report buttons on the site:

Fraudulent or misleading listings
Prohibited items
Suspicious or abusive users
Harassment or discriminatory behaviour
Spam or duplicate listings
Any illegal activity

7. Account suspension and removal

We reserve the right to suspend, restrict, or permanently remove accounts that:

Violate these Terms of Service or Community Guidelines.
Post prohibited or fraudulent listings.
Engage in harassment, scamming, or abusive behaviour.
Create spam accounts or multiple accounts.
Provide false registration information.

Suspended users will be notified where possible. Serious violations may result in immediate permanent bans without warning.

8. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of any content you post (photos, descriptions). By posting on Cornvio, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to display that content on the platform for the purpose of operating the service.

9. Limitation of liability

Cornvio is provided "as is". We do not guarantee continuous availability of the service and are not liable for any loss, damage, or dispute arising from interactions between users or from use of the platform.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of Cornvio after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. We will notify registered users of significant changes by email.
